(... By examination and
verification of the "Tajweed Qur'an"
(wa-rattel-el-Qur'ana tartila) related to "DAR AL-MAARIFAH" it has been
ascertained that it is in the Othmani style, and that the methodology
adopted by publishing house has been accurately applied after examining
the passages written at the end of it, wherein the publisher explains
everything relevant to the application of the idea of coloring

(...The committee of the Holy Qur'an has examined this copy and found
it correct in terms of calligraphy and vowelization, and that the idea
of time and color coding is a unique and creative idea, and dose not contradict
with calligraphy and vowelization. It also helps the reader understand
the Tajweed rules and their application by means of the codes set at the
bottom of each page. The committee attests: That "DAR AL-MAARIFAH" has
accurately applied its idea faultlessly.)

In 7/4/1991 morning, our sheikh teacher clapped to draw my colleague’s attention, (because he did not apply a designated Tajweed rule while reading the Holy Qura’n). Then the idea clicked: Why not the letter, that contains a Tajweed rule, expresses it self by a special color instead of waiting the sound of the teacher’s hand, indicating to the site of that Tajweed rule ; moreover, this color could be darker or lighter to identify the duration of the Tajweed rule. All that, means that the Tajweed could be written on Outhmani style, as it is the case with vowelization and dotting on letters that were only audible. Thus, the need behind invention. Dar al Maarifah for publishing and distributing in Damascus has the honor of achieving this blessed project. |
